To build the skills, start with our interactive, in-person experiences.
Then make the skills stick by using our digital offerings.
The result? A high-impact journey for your people.
IN-PERSON CORE SKILLS WORKSHOP
Moral Courage teaches 5 skills for hearing others and being heard in turn. Our “why” is simple: different people have different perspectives, even when they belong to the same groups.
So this interactive workshop will reveal a counter-intuitive truth — that airing and respecting divergent views is key to bringing people together. As participants, you’ll draw from your own experiences to explore the “how.”
You’ll also leave the workshop with a tangible tool to remember the Moral Courage skills, all of which are actionable immediately. Read the research behind our teachings.

IN-PERSON TEAM GAME

Participants practice the 5 Moral Courage skills by playing an innovative game that taps into the human desire for winning, yet turns the tables on what it means to win. Hence its name, "Change the Game."
Time-outs are called. Substitutions may be made. Even spectators are participants: Equipped with scorecards, they award or withhold points. Top-scoring teams are those that transform the impulsive us-against-them mindset into an intentional "both-and" approach to problem-solving.
The consistent outcomes: team spirit from playing together as well as discussing the unexpected insights that come from what everyone sees, feels, and realizes about themselves. Download and share an overview of "Change the Game."

IN-PERSON FILM SCREENING

Genesis Be, Global Ambassador for Moral Courage, co-stars in our award-winning film, Mississippi Turning. It follows Genesis and her critic as they disagree about a highly emotional issue. Even when they stand their ground, they manage to create common ground — a “both-and” choice that advances collaboration.
Genesis screens the film, then leads an interactive discussion with the audience. Along the way, she folds viewers’ responses into her teaching of the Moral Courage skill set.
Inspirational as well as instructive, this activity is especially suited for students and their educators. Watch the trailer.

Creating habits out of any skill set, including Moral Courage, requires practice, practice, practice. We’re making it fun with a series of mobile games, “MISSION: Moral Courage.”
The story that frames our games: A wise tribe from another planet observes that humanity is destroying itself through our relentless divides. The cosmic tribe plans to take over Earth in order to rescue all nonhuman forms of life. But now they have to decide if humans, too, are worth rescuing.
As the player, you have been chosen to prove that we can save ourselves from ourselves… Got game?
With each round lasting just a few minutes, this practice tool is perfect not only for young people, but also for busy parents and professionals. Watch the trailer.
