Certifying Adult Moral Courage Mentors
Irshad Manji shares with 800 educators
why the world needs Moral Courage Mentors
Offered exclusively through our nonprofit foundation, getting certified is the pinnacle of the Moral Courage journey.
Over several weeks of micro-time study and hands-on execution, teachers, staff, admins, and parents can become Moral Courage Mentors for their schools or districts. Many of them even bring these skills home, mentoring their own children to turn heated issues into healthy conversations. See this case study as an example.
A further benefit: Certified Mentors belong to a curated Moral Courage community that supports each other’s skills-building journeys. Here’s what a few certified K12 Mentors say:
“Our staff are hungry to learn Moral Courage. When someone tells me that they’re using the skills at home as much as in the classroom (and believe me, I hear this a lot), I know that I’m being seen as their Mentor. Moral Courage, our light shines!”

Kathleen Smith
Moral Courage Mentor for Olathe Public School District

“I'm on one of my school district's committees, and I feel a lot more confident in navigating the tricky conversations that need to be had.”
Zach Creswell
Moral Courage Mentor for Mt. Pleasant Public Schools
Jessica McDonnell
Moral Courage Mentor for Holy Trinity School Online Global Campus

“Modeling my Moral Courage skills is a great example to the students I serve as a guidance counselor.”
